Iiinteresting. There's never been a straight-up indestructible creature at common before (I think Darksteel Myr was submitted as a common and promoted to uncommon). Even Fog Bank / Guard Gomazoa are uncommon. I suspect this probably ought to be uncommon too, though 5 mana and not flying mean it might be low enough power level to not warp much.
Hmm. This is a combination that should definitely be rare (at least this cheaply). 1 mana cheaper than Glissa, the Traitor (and one step less rare), in exchange for losing the artifact recursion... yeah, plausible. See also Ankle Shanker.
Heat Ray. But, yeah, it doesn't happen too often.
Edit: Hey, look at that. Autocard tells me that Heat Ray is uncommon in M15. I still think it's fair in common, though (let's reference Death Wind instead.) I know basic algebra is tricky for 7th graders, but, seriously, I knew what X meant when I was in the second grade. It was on my math flash cards. I'm sure the rest of the community can hack it.
If the problem is 'but commons shouldn't put be that efficient', then I'd argue this isn't really a common. It doesn't bother me to see an uncommon masquerading as a common, but IMHO, the card shouldn't be penalized for making the switch.
Mana cost from 1W to W
Why not just Last Breath? This is even more restrictive, which I wouldn't say was necessary.

There's Untamed Might as well as Heat Ray and Death Wind.
Plus lots more pre-NWO, such as Death Denied, Logic Knot, Disembowel, Repeal, Thrive, and of course the card with my second favourite flavour text ever, Wave of Indifference.

You can't have X spells at common anyway.
Huh. Between Decree of Justice and White Sun's Zenith I would think these could be 1/1 constructs, or the spell could cost .
