Finally using that word in a cardname. Yay!
Pyre-theme common.
Not quite intimidate.
Fixed typo
Somewhere I wanted to use the flavor text
> Humans still live outside Nabarec, but the city proper is now inhabitted by beings no longer called human.
But I feel the short and sweet one not weighed down by lore works well here, so I'm keeping that flavor text for a different card maybe.
White-black IIRC cares about bringing creatures to 0 toughness, so here's a way to get there.
I imagine the Deformed of Nabarec to be a somewhat alien culture that embraces their mutation, but not outright evil.
The, justified, wariness of humans, kor etc. of abnormal physique (which may be a sign of disease) keeps mutants from interacting with the established cultures in friendly ways, so misunderstandings are amplified where Deformed never fully comprehend that they in fact do bring harm to others.
Maybe even a cycle of equal etb-effect and sac-effect. Has this been done before?
This actually is not meant to be used to enchant and tap opponents' creatures, but I'm undecided whether to kep this bit of lenticular design since the cost is steep and tapping opponents' creatures is more an unusual blac effect than something black isn't supposed to have.
I like this cycle. Give me sorcery speed effects.
I don't subscribe to the philosophy that noncreature subtypes need to be mechanically relevant but I also recognize there is an opportunity here to get build upon these designs Cartouche-style.
More contagion!
Considering daunt over trample.
Eeew!
It snarls! It howls! It eats things so hard that other things receive damage!
See Cloak and Dagger, Shielded by Faith.
Solitary and befoul both make sense on Equipment in different ways.
Published as mtgnexus Card of the Day 2021-08-23.
Germs get fractal treatment.
Compare: Serpentine Curve, Golgari Raiders, Undergrowth Scavenger, Rhizome Lurcher
Cycle Time!
So something is off abut the colorless Zombies of the plane, called the Foul Ones by some. They are awfully quiet and hide away and go into something akin to hibernation in these.
What's their deal?
ETB effect is not set in stone, but I noticed we didn't have a blue Divination-effect yet.
Just some way to defend with a single creature.
Living Weapon inversion/forced bestow.
Wanted to do a martyr/life card, but ended up ust referencing Mycologist/Wakedancer.
