(RULING: When Unceasing Martyr's controller removes a +1/+1 counter and it dies, it counts as having "had no +1/+1 counters on it" when it died.)
The idea of this card was to have a cheap critter that can keep buffing friends until the friends stop coming. Works best in a weenie deck where you can easily get rid of the counter if an enemy's got a way to kill it, making sure the Undying activates and it can stick around a while longer.
Indeed I have, Link. This is slightly different, though, in that non-legendary creatures can be Commander, and the deck sizes and life totals are a little bigger.
Have you ever heard of Tiny Leaders?
Yeah, most of us have neither the time nor money for 90 card decks. Having smaller decks opens up the format to kitchen-table players like me.
I've never seen commander games where the commander was just a beatstick; almost always it's some fiddly combo card, or lord - which tend to be relatively small P/T. Reducing it to a 60 card deck does suggest more players will be able to build competitive ones, though.
So, I tried inventing my own format. I don't really have many MTG players in my area, so it would be really nice if somebody playtested this and told me how it went in the comments. (pretty please?)
The restrictions on high-CMC or high-power/toughness creatures let ignored cards like Stonecloaker or Reef Worm shine.
I hope it's fun!
This card is supposed to be the kami-worm-monster thing on Plow Through Reito.
You can probably figure out by now I'm a big fan of Kamigawa.
Eh, I changed it some more. Now you use it to discard one of the top two cards of your library, so that you can get the one under it when you draw a card. Meant to be like a black Evermind.
