Thanks, I'm not very good at rules text.
Compare to Drumhunter? I know they do very different things. But both cards feel like creatures with strong abilities with tacked on mana effects that play into what they do...
I like this effect a lot (Boseiju, Who Shelters All having been an important part of one of the very few Standard decks I've played in my 18 years of MtG). But 5 mana for a 0/3 feels really anaemic. I think it could be cheaper and/or much bigger, compared to Vine Trellis/Overgrown Battlement.
Or a Ghostly Prison varition? "Each creature attacking you is blocked unless its owner discards a card" ?
An attacker is classified as "blocked" or "unblocked" based on decisions made during "Declare Blockers step" while the ability already triggers during "Declare Attackers step".
The only consistent way to interpret this card text is to say a creature is "unblocked" unless otherwise blocked making the word "unblocked" superfluous since they couldn't have been blocked by the time this triggers.
Alternatively: "Whenever a creature an opponent controls attacks and isn't blocked, that player discards a card."
I believe the correct templating is: "Whenever Landscar Worm attacks, target player sacrifices a land."
Or: "Whenever Landscar Worm attacks, defending player sacrifices a land."
BUT... Repeatable Land Destruction at common is a no-no.
