So, I tried inventing my own format. I don't really have many MTG players in my area, so it would be really nice if somebody playtested this and told me how it went in the comments. (pretty please?)
The restrictions on high-CMC or high-power/toughness creatures let ignored cards like Stonecloaker or Reef Worm shine.
I hope it's fun!
I've never seen commander games where the commander was just a beatstick; almost always it's some fiddly combo card, or lord - which tend to be relatively small P/T. Reducing it to a 60 card deck does suggest more players will be able to build competitive ones, though.
Yeah, most of us have neither the time nor money for 90 card decks. Having smaller decks opens up the format to kitchen-table players like me.
Have you ever heard of Tiny Leaders?
Indeed I have, Link. This is slightly different, though, in that non-legendary creatures can be Commander, and the deck sizes and life totals are a little bigger.
