Skeleton

How do I get added to edit this set? I've signed up for green on Goblin Artisans.

Welcome to Multiverse! Unfortunately, I've not added a very sensible way to have a team of editors designing a set.

At the moment, your options are:

1) Make the set editable by all signed-in Multiverse users, but ask people not to edit if they're not on the design team: this will probably work fairly well, but doesn't have any enforcement.
2) Select or create one user account to be used by the whole team, and privately send the password to your whole team. Has the drawback that individuals' comments and changes aren't automatically tagged with the specific person making them.

I've been considering for a while the capability to let multiple people be admins/editors of a set, though; all the cardset permissions code is deliberately designed to make that an easy extension to make in the future. Now you've pointed out there's a desire for it I'll see if I can get that feature added in the next couple of weeks.

You could always go with approach 1) as a temporary measure until I add the proper multi-admin feature.

Thanks, Alex. I'm looking forward to using your site/tool. Seems pretty sweet. At this point, I'd rather be able to see who commented or changed what then have perfect security, so I'm going with option 1 (until you add a multi-admin feature [no pressure]).

Wobbles (who I assume is aka Duncan), you should be able to edit it with any Multiverse account.

One more tip for a feature that may not be immediately obvious. If you want to create a lot of cards at once, especially if you're not adding complete details to all of them but just sketching out a few details (such as "code->CW02, name->(((creature tapper))), colour->white, rarity->common") then there's a way to do that all at once rather than as a number of individual edits. The way to do this is via the "Import data" link. It's slightly technical (you enter the data in comma-separated format), but it's a way to quickly add or update data to lots of cards at once if you find yourself wanting to do that.

Hopefully everything else ought to be pretty straightforward. Let me know if you encounter any more problems!

Could I join?

Rourke, everyone is welcome to contribute. Catch up on what's been figured out so far http://goblinartisans.blogspot.com/2011/08/m13-index.html and then share your thoughts in the comments of those articles.

At present our skeleton codes are haphazard, and we should do them like Wizards (creatures first), so I suggest we leave them out until we're closer to a skeleton. Also, it seems like a good idea to track all of the changes we make to slots, if you change a card please post the previous iteration as a comment on it (is there a way to put this message at the top of the page?). Anyway, I've been out of town, so I'm just now seeing this; I doubt I'll have time to be a full time designer, but I'll contribute where I can.

Edit: I make an impressive number of typos when using a smartphone to post.

That won't be necessarily if we post the changes made, for example {3}{r}>{2}{r}{r} or 2/2>3/1.

I really wish there were an easy way to move cards between slots.

Between slots? As in, on the skeleton? I think all you have to do is change the skeleton number (the card code) on the "edit card" page.

If your comments are on a small number of specific cards, they may be better added to those cards. This is for comments on the set as a whole.
