Okay, I hear you on that. I'm not sure what other limitations can be imposed, except maybe "enters tapped?" And even then I'm not sure that'll make a huge difference.
It used to be that any land could be converted into a 2 CMC artifact, but modern design conventions generally don't allow mana rocks to cost less than
without some kind of hoop to jump through.

Do insight counters do anything?
I'm not sure if you intend to follow the color pie with this set, but this is a black effect, not white.
