Hee. I like it a lot. I love how it evokes Evermind.

I think it could be cheaper: 6 mana is still more than Mind's Eye.

Mmm, but Mind's Eye never drew you a card when you cast a spell, and decks with Overmind in it would be built to abuse the fact that this card is in it.

I'm cool with this card costing 8. When you play it, if your deck is in the same power range as your opponent's, you should be crushing him in as little as 3 turns. That sounds like it requires some dedication to me.

Looking at this now, I agree this is the right cost. I think Recycle and Null Profusion were fairly costed, and this is a heck of a lot better than them.
