Don't delve too deep...

You don't really delve on things, do you? You delve through or you just delve. Like "I'm delving into this cave", or "I'm going delving".

I'd actually like this better if it was "You lose 1 life for each card you own in exile" and maybe cost 1 less, making playing multiples of this card inherently risky. Though I guess if you're focusing on building a delve-centric archetype that might be a little counterproductive...

That's an interesting idea, but it does seem counterproductive indeed. I mean, maybe tucked into a commander product or whatever, but otherwise it's just weird that you would have a card that only want one or two copies of and you wouldn't want to touch any other cards with the said mechanic either.

The instant speed variation of this card with just "delved" is all the rage at reddit btw

Might be because they would want it for their Death's Shadow decks though I'm hoping it's because it's so resonant.

I believe the phrase is "Let's not dwell on the past", rather than "delve". Though I've never been a fan of the word in general for the mechanic. There's no good thematic link.
