Hmm, I'm getting a hunch that the second ability might not work with Godhead of Obfuscation since it's supposedly a replacement effect... Does the ability work at all actually? Does it work for cards with "Sacrifice a creature: ..." ?

There are rules dealing with those exact circumstances, specifically 117.11 and 117.12. Those cards would all work properly even in the presence of a card like this.
