Was originally going to be a reprint of Penumbra Kavu as a centaur but that just doesn't cut it nowadays so I dropped the cost from

Sensible point about the power level of Penumbra Kavu given modern creatures.
It's kind of funny, because Penumbra Spider is so similar in cost to Giant Spider despite the fact that the Giant Spider continues to be a limited staple. Then again, it has a tendency to not die, making the penumbra part not very relevant. That CC you got there looks good.
Thanks guys. I was looking for a simple mechanic to showcase the "darkness" aspect of the dying sun. I didn't want o use shadow or morph and was having a blank coming up with my own and then I found the Penumbra creatures - their shadows come to life when they die? Perfect.
So there will be a small Penumbra sub-theme in this set.
