Yeah, the third ability is parasitic. You get to tutor, so as long as you have Liliana in your deck, you are unlikely to misfire.
Interesting flavor-wise, but mechanics-wise I'm not seeing any good synergy between the first and second modes.
What if it were:
I: Discard a card. If you do, search your library for a card and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
That way it can be cheaper (like

), and you get your search while discard a card to reanimate.

I really wanted to put some Rescue from the Underworld aspect in there anyway, but didn't feel like sacrificing was the right way to go.
