I originally had this destroy a creature then reanimate it after it went to the graveyard but, as a friend pointed out, things like Samurai of the Pale Curtain and such would prevent me from getting control of the creature so I just went for straight control with a black feel to it.

That is fascinating. This does feel very out-of-colour; yet it is equivalent to the sum of two black effects. It's very much the same idea as Peculiar Distortion, but with the colours the other way round... very interesting. So I've created Peculiar Soulwrangling to highlight this point :)

Yes I know. It felt better when it was destroy target creature. Then return it to the battlefield under your control. It is a black zombie.....
Maybe I should just revert it to its original wording as it makes it feel much more Black if a lot wordier.

Yeah. There have been a couple of black cards as precedent, Enslave (which was in planar chaos, but reprinted in scars) and Captivating Vampire, the rule seems to be that it's ok if there's a good reason, and this fits, more simply than the other cards.

Changed the cardname to one that feels more black (to me at least).

Agree that the creature should go to the graveyard. I don't see why it would be a problem that your opponent might have an answer for this. Wouldn't that be the point? Flavor wise, if you can stop me from bringing creatures back from the dead, then if I kill and try to resurrect your creature, I shouldn't get your creature, right?

Also, the (((Challenge # 004))) comments page still refers to this as (((Daimon's Resurrection))). I had to hunt to find it in the Visual Spoiler. :p

OK reverted it to kill & then reanimate.
