This effect feels like it might actually be black or even white (look at Metzali, Tower of Triumph's mono-white activated ability...)

Eh, Crushing Pain pushed further. Alternatively, you could mayhaps try out "destroy target blocking creature"..?

Actually, I found a bunch of black cards in the history that have this effect. Fatal Blow is the most direct of them. It could probably be 1-CMC uncommon even with the reveal-filter clause.
