Random Card Generator gave me Demystify and Organ Harvest. I don't like the result. I like the card, which is the reason I posted it, but I think I failed the challenge on this one. I tried to find a way to get that red mechanic which was once black mix it up with the destruction of enchantments, but the only thing I could focus on was how Red would never have a card that allowed you to sacrifice enchantments to add
to your mana pool, and neither would white, for that matter. I'm sure there is a better way to combine these two cards, so I'm leaving this here for now. Any suggestions?
How about a riff on the same kind of idea as Frantic Cleansing?
> Instant,
> As an additional cost to cast ~, sacrifice X permanents. > Destroy up to X target enchantments.
You know, maybe I can dig this version. I want the fast mana to be a part of it, but it just ain't happening.
Wow. Targeted but unconditional creature destruction in white? About the only white thing here is the word "enchantments".
Also, careful of your phrasing. At the moment, it seems like if we sac 3 enchantments, we get to destroy 9 target creatures!
Good point on the multiplicative problem. Editing.
Yeah, I admit, the creature destruction was probably too big a push. I just don't like to see bad enchantment destruction floating around. I mean, who wants to sacrifice their stuff to destroy other enchantments of all things? I'm a huge fan of Teferi's Care, but that's a global enchantment, that can always sac itself.
Hmm... How about this version instead?
I'm still leary on sacrificing creatures to destroy a creature, but at least this can sit out as a rattlesnake, provide a sac outlet, allow you to sac a creature that was already dying and gain you some life for it all. I'll take that.
Mm, this can only sac a creature if there's an enchantment to target. Which might need to be this, and that'd be irritating. How about "Destroy up to one target enchantment, and gain 2 life"?
You know, I'm fine with it either way. If "up to" makes some people happy, let's make some people happy.
Moved in from the workbench because Dawnfield Puredeer didn't feel strong enough to be an uncommon. I could have fixed it, but Mark of Truth is fighting for the same cc, and it didn't seem worth it. Besides, the set could use an enchantment destruction spell at uncommon. Switched 'creature' to 'artifact' to fit the theme of white in this set.
