random generator gave me Freewind Falcon and Riding the Dilu Horse (which someone commented on Gatherer sounds like a euphamism for something. I tend to agree.)
The card practically wrote itself. Though, on second look, it appears that Riding the Dilu Horse (I'm totally going to start using this phrase from now on) is a permanent effect. Was this a mistake that Wizards decided would just stay that way? I don't know. In theory, I should make this an enchant creature, but it would probably bump it to uncommon, and it seems more fun to have a Mighty Leap now with bonus Pro-Red. I thought about +1/+1 counters as well, but that's poor design. Some players won't play their instant to get the counters for fear a red spell or a flying creature will come later. I can always change this later when I'm fixing the set.
Simple White Combat trick slot.
Hey, Alex!
I set aside Mashup: the Gatheirng for a little while as there were skeleton kinks that needed to be worked out. While the original kinks have been solved, there appears to be another kink in the system. For example... why isn't this, and the rest of the cards I updated to have active codes after I turned on code activation not popping up on the skeleton?
Buffering answer .... Caching...
Seems to be in the skeleton now? And I didn't do anything to put it there.
Which is to say, could you give me more precise details of what you (are/were) trying and what went wrong?
Mmm. It is there now, and I'm not sure what happened. I know that when I first started adding codes, I refreshed the skeleton and nothing happened. Seeing that, I experimented with turning on the 'Active?' button, added some more codes, then checked (and refreshed) the skeleton again and noticed that only the cards from before turning the active status on were in the skeleton. I let it sit for maybe twenty minutes, refreshed, and there was no change. It's all here now. Very odd. Mollusk's answer is about as good as any here.
Oh, hey, Leap of Faith exists now. Okay, I don't want to trump that. Begrudgingly moved to .
"Gains prot red" isn't exactly trumping "Prevent all damage to", though. The latter is a lot more useful on a little deathtoucher blocking a big stompy green thing, for example.
Indeed, this looks to be "Hey look ma, I'm stompy and killin stuff!" where Leap of Faith is all "I'm gonna evade damage now"
Still, you're probably right about the cost being roughly CMC3 for either :)
Oh, hey, whoops. I forgot that Leap of Faith prevents combat damage. Turns out I was right on target.
