White is notoriously and intentionally limited when it comes to drawing cards, so this is incredibly efficient for a card providing draw in white. It might be fine if it only drew one card, but even then it's a stretch since gaining life is such an easy trigger condition.
This is comparable to Well of Lost Dreams. Apart from colour pie concerns, bump it up to rare and it's printable as is.
Colour pie... this is hard. It's certainly a white trigger condition. The problem is that lifelink creatures each trigger this, probably repeatedly each turn. White is meant to be able to occasionally draw cards if it's repeatedly doing things that are very white? By comparison with Searing Meditation, this might be OK? (At rare, obviously.) I'm not sure.
Mmm; if this was
it'd be obviously completely fine (though yes; still probably rare).
Pure white... hmm. Mentor of the Meek appears to be evidence that white is allowed to do it off of a white enough trigger.
Froggy has already stated that they don't care overmuch about colour pie; so I guess this passes?
Although yeah, wow, the pairing with lifelink is gonna be ridiculous. "I attack! And draw... how much mana have I got?"
xDD rare for sure, white blue works better for the loreeee
Love you guys, your genius :D
what would white gain life equal to?
