I was going to give this "attacks each turn if able" but then it might as well have just been a 4/2 with that ability. This way, he only hulks out when you want him to.

Is CMC ok for a 2/2 that becomes a 4/1 on attack ?

Also, I know there is a 'Longship Lord' who gives barbarians and/or berserkers +1/+1 in the set which may have influenced my costing of this.

Well, my set has Enraged Hearthpig, so I reckon a 4/1 for 3 in red is okay, though I had it at (1)(R)(R). It's an interesting question whether (ignoring mana costs) this card or that one is better. Mine is more pingable at sorcery speed. I don't know which is a better blocker; probably mine.

I think I'm happy with it now, its safe from pingers except when its attacking, which is when it is ignoring everything else going on around it other than its target so I think, flavorwise this works. Thanks for feedback.
