Ouch. City of Brass with a further downside?

Rupture Spire kinda outclsses it by a lot too.

To be fair, City of Brass is a very solid card. The Gatherer rating for the original Arabian Nights uncommon (?!) is 4.548.

But, yeah, Mana Confluence does exist. Mind you, it has the highest Gatherer rating for any one card in Theros block. But it's still out there. Do what you want with that knowledge.

Sure. Let's cite myself. Theros Block’s Greatest and Worst Hits, According to Gatherer

Arabian nights is old enough to not have rares. It was a u1 - rare by any other name; just a quirk of the printing method.

But sure, ok; it just seems unfortunately lacking in upside; but I guess I could see a stictly worse "ETB tapped city of brass" getting made.

Okay, technically Arabian Nights' rarity was weird. But City of Brass was probably a U2, since, According to Gatherer, Arabian Nights has cards that count as rares, such as Bottle of Suleiman:

Arabian Nights Rares

Note that this is a Port, which must have some mechanical relevance, so slight additional downside is reasonable.

Yes, there will be cards that interact with Port lands such as Shipping Lanes
