While I think this would be an excellent card for the set, it doesn't fit with our "All Non-Component Artifacts can tap."

Do we want to change this up? or are we ok with leaving it as it is?

Personally I'm fine as-is. It can still be tapped via windup.

Raptor, when I meant "All non-component artifacts can tap", I gave all artifact creatures a pass, since they can always tap by attacking. It was mostly a specification for non-creature artifacts in the set

Are we ok with this being a one and done versus Thopters?

Attacking creatures with flying you don't control have -1/-0.

I kind of like how it interacts in a flying and thopter environment. In its last appearance in innistrad, it did not really kill any spirit strategies that were going around. It was nice to have in some matchups, and would sometime shine in front of a couple of spirit tokens, but the card is by no mean powerful. I am fine with this in a thopter and flying environment.
