I like reverence. I have two questions about it.
1.) Other than for flavor, does it really matter if the creature spell you're casting has reverence?
2.) Why not have all reverence have the same cost? Perhaps . That would reduce the complexity of the mechanic's mind space.
I think the reminder text could be more succinct, by the way. "Whenever you cast a creature spell [without reverence], you may pay {cost} and tap this. If you do, that creature ETBs with an additional +1/+1 counter." Basically the first sentence can be shortened.
1)Largely for flavor reasons, I suppose. There was a design that only worked with the current wording, but I've since scrapped it. 2)Yeah, I guess there's not much point to having different costs, aside from the reference here. I don't recall why I tried to do it this way. I'll just set it to like you said, it'll certainly make the Monuments simpler.
