How do we feel about having the Mercenary side being a mercenary?
I'm not a huge fan of Mercenary Tribal but on the other hand its certainly possible that bringing back the creature type only may be fine.
I was only suggesting the type only. Mercenary tribal is a bit out of place here. However, if things have names that are existing creature types, they should probably be those types.

True. But giving "Mercenary" decks a bone now and again is always neat.
It also makes me wonder if we want to make all cards with "revolution" on them rebels for similar historic ties while not having the same strict adherence to the "rebel" mechanic. It lets us have slightly less wordy tribal effects, like "rebels you control get +1/+1 until end of turn" and such. It also let's us make tokens that align with the revolutionaries.
Probably not, but it is still a thought :P
I don't like that as it potentially restricts our ability to do flavorful cards that change during the revolution but may not necessarily be rebels directly.
