Huh. Yes, I think this works perfectly well under the rules, although I'm still pondering the implications :)

Wow, that's... delightful. One of those that makes you do a double take and a half!

And obviously insane with Mox Opal (or any other fast mana) but then, everything is.

Amongst the other, less-insane interactions: It makes temporary control change effects permanent (like Bazaar Trader). Except for tokens; there it just lets you sacrifice a token for no benefit or cost. It lets you keep Ball Lightning alive at an upkeep of {r}{r}{r}. Sadly it doesn't let you save Unearthed creatures like Hellspark Elemental from being exiled.

Evokers get kinda interesting too. Or, no - they all trigger on ETB. Drat.

Well, some of them trigger on LB, but that makes them more expensive. Shriekmaw is pretty good with this: it lets you pay {1}{b} for Terror as many times as you wish.

Most tokens can't actually be "sacrificed" this way, since casting them would involve paying the blank mana cost. (Though to be less confusing, that could do to be spelled out on the card.)

And who needs Shriekmaw when you can have Journey to Nowhere? The timing's even more flexible that way, if you don't mind storing one of the creatures where it can come back.

Permanents? Not permanent spells? Woah.
