Rebuilt card from French vanilla to tinker card. Made larger and have an easier mana cost

This is not a body red can traditionally get. I would either make the body imbalanced (5/3) or make it a 4/4

Increased mana cost, reduced from 5/5 to 4/4

Agreed. After reviewing Flameborn Hellion, increased to 6 and reduced power and toughness. May be able to reduce back the man's cost, but I'm no judge of power level.

sacrificing itself makes it useless, thats an issue

So don't sacrifice it. Sacrificing is optional.

I mean you could choose to if you had something that triggered off of sacs out things dying, but since it's may, I doubt people would do that by accident.

sigh. Thats not the point, remember the reason that exploit works so well is that you can sacrifice the creature to itself to get an evoke style trigger. This design undermines that spike/johnny effect and thus needs to change.

Changed tinker ability

a little but 6 mana to give a creature haste still isn't super useful

Idealily it's giving itself haste. It's a big beatstick. I one think every tinker card should be a mulldrifter.

That's why exploit works so well? I thought that was a fringe case you could use in a pinch. I barely played DTK limited, though, so what would I know.

Moved hate and changed tinker

Consider making this a 3RR 4/3, with tinker granting +1/+0 and haste to your team. Flavor of running from a mechanical bull gone wild.

Alternatively, give haste on the body and a Panic Attack variant on tinker

Bull is not a creature type. Ox is.

I like your idea casual, but is that too strong for common?

panic attack for two would be fine

That's what I was the conclusion I was reaching.

Not necessarily Charlie. Red has gotten this sized body for a while. Sacking an artifact is a real hurdle to add a small panic attack to Thundering Giant

Edit: Words of wisdom. Two brackets makes an inline card image. [[Animate Wall]]

I was referring to team hate, but it seems panic attack has the vote.

At 5R, I'd probably make it a 5/3. I think two creatures is probably the sweet spot for a common.

+1 power

Ogre Inventor and Cogwork Bull currently are very similar: 5-6 mana 4/3s with a tinker effect that deals 3-4 damage to the opponent.

I think we can diversify a bit.

p.s.: Inline card images are a terrible idea, not a 'word of wisdom'.

It is more of a word of caution. I accidentally had the inline image. I figured the most amusing one would serve as an example of what not to do. So far nothing horrible has happened.
