This feels more uncommon. Closer to Wing shards than Celestial Flare. Not to mention 2-for-1 "potential"

Do you want the second sacrificed creature to be attacking? I do, and the card doesn't specify that.

I personally would prefer if the secondary effect was something like "gain life equal to the sacrificed creature's power" rather than a second sacrifice.

This is especially true for a common card.

This card is way too good for common. Lets change the bonus

another option is to change this to I a Pacifism variant as mentioned on Ethereal Chains

Changed bonus. Thoughts?

When Foul-Tongue Invocation and Tribute to Hunger are uncommon, this has little chance of being common.

Those are both black cards, have easier casting costs, and don't require an attacking creature.

White doesn't get straight unconditional edict effects. The difference between 1WW and 2W isn't massive.

The comparisons aren't perfect, but they are certainly the closest that we can get as no other color has creature sacrifice.

White does get to cause people to sacrifice attacking creatures. It's a conditional edict. Very conditional. And the difference between 1WW and 2W on a combat trick are quite large.

As a conditional-lifegain on top of Celestial Flare, this looks okay at common to me, actually. It's a bit wordy (moreso with the extra blank line between the two paragraphs), but otherwise seems fine for common.

I think the amount of life should be static. 2-3 life would feel appropriate. That's what you'll get most of the time but makes the card less board dependent.

edit: Variability is more the idea behind science, so the more certainty we have with our faith decks the better. Also works since Faith is about having a sense of certainty about the world.

For an extra man's and not being able to kill blockers, I think 5 life is fair.

Faith is now a keyword. Cleaned up.
