Due to the need of sleep after "instant or sorcery" might I suggest the following: "Choose one -- Counter target instant or sorcery spell Counter target activated or triggered ability. (Mana abilities can't be targeted.)"

Neat, but I don't think anything with the words "activated ability" can be at anything less than uncommon.

Btw, I'm a fan of the new wording. It looks cleaner.

I would think there is a substantial difference between "can't use activated abilities" and those cards. (I was going to say arrest for promoted, but they did just make the new Faith's Fetters). This is mostly to do with new player grokability.

This still feels a bit off to me, but fair defense.

It would definitely be red flagged at common but could be acceptablein the right set.
