Pray requires a cost to activate. Do you mean, you just get a free pray activation or you have the chance to activate a pray?
could you just have it as 'pray 0'?
The idea is to use it more like a keyword action instead. Of course if it was only an activated ability, this card wouldn't work.
A lot of evocative stuff could be done with a keyword action:
"Whenever a nontoken creature you control dies, pray."
"Whenever one or more creatures you control attack, pray."
While a lot of design can occur with a modification to the way we are approaching pray, that comes later, if our current iteration proves to not be sufficient. I am not a fan of this card at this stage of design.
I personally think it would create more insight more quickly to use both variants in tandem and cut the triggered version if it does not provide the wanted gameplay.

may be too complicated depending on how NWO you want to go but this seems like a possible fix to me. at the same time my set's all about counters, so i might just be skewed too far in that direction when i think of ideas
We are cutting all cards with this style of pray except for the GW rare slot.
