Could reduce to one artifact with a cost associated with the ability.

Only supposed to be one legend per deck I think

This is my suggestion for the science legend.

they are supposed to be both colors

Just remove the legendary type and the card is fine

If anything it may not need haste itself or could be on a smaller body.

Can its slot be moved?

How is this?

I like it. Needs a flavor adjustment but mechanically good.

Also needs a creature type

I'm not convinced. I think we can do better but lets keep it here for now.

May I change the card? or is it "locked" now?

Also, should be Human Artificer, missed that somehow

If your the original creator of the card then change it however you like. Otherwise make a copy of the card and edit that.

Yes, I am the original. OK, off to apply changes. EDIT: New version. Now closer to "reengineer lord"

I like this for its role.

It should be able to tuck away the top card to the bottom to cycle through nonartifact cards if necessary/desirable.

Would it be crazy to cast the artifact for free? Making it more like Nissa's +1 ability?

Car it or just put out onto the battlefield?

Nissa's +1 ability can work like that because the "cost" of the permanent is well known. Circumventing the mana cost must be itself quite pricey.

And with a single sacrifice outlet for artifacts this could durdle on quite easily. Mana cost is a good safety valve on this.

Changed from card drawing to casting for free to make it more exciting

It may need an increased mana cost, also its 2/2 body is kinda uninspiring

I really think this card should be trash for treasuring.

I still want this to change the top card of the library no matter what so multiple sacrifices get a new chance at hitting.

That's probably true. Can we just add to the end, "Otherwise, (you may?) put it on bottom of your library"? I personally prefer it without the may, both for wordiness concerns and for the "crazy, careless science" theme.

"reveal the top card of your library. If its an artifact card, put it onto the battlefield. If not, put it into your graveyard." That would be my guess.

Are we sold to a sacrifice trigger. Couldn't we just make a Call of the Wild for artifacts and give him a more relevant ability like prowess to give the deck a combat finisher?

Contesting with Farrin the Brawler. The more I look at this card, the less out fits. Science can't combo off and has to win through combat and needs something that can hit hard. I don't know if prowess will do it though. Maybe flying?

I would argue that the entire point of science is to "combo off." Science as a concept is about experimentation, not prowess in combat.

Looking at the deck, there's no real combo. There a lot of synergy, no doubt and that's the primary strength of the deck, but there's no combo to win the game. This is a control deck that attempts to slow Faith down until they can get a finisher in and I'm not convinced the dragon is enough.

My assumption is that the legend is the linchpin of the decks. They are the cards that are most likely to be on the cover art and should convey what the decks are about. The artifact deck is essentially about alchemy. About transforming things into other things. Their legend should reflect that transformative nature. I don't really like Massey, but I don't think going in the direction of a brawler type character is correct either.

Typically the card on the cover is the splashiest rare, not necessarily the legend. Is Faith's legend splashy enough for these to be the cover cards?

Having the legends be the cover cards accomplishes two things. First, it defines the colors of the decks. If the White Mythic or the Red Dragon were the cover cards it wouldn't communicate that the decks are two colors as well as having a two color card on the cover. Two, its more clearly defines what the decks are about. In the green/white legend that's playing lots of creatures, gaining lots of life, and feeding on life gain. The red/blue card should reflect the values of the science deck, namely the transmuting of artifacts into other resources, controlled chaos, and the graveyard.

changed to tinker

PLAYTEST: Resolved only once, but was a blast, when it did. Great Timmy effect - sad when it doesn't work.

I still say we need to remove the card from the top on a no-hit somehow to allow this to dig deeper upon further sacrifices.

As opposed to Massey's Galvenizer I'm not certain whether I want to deviate from tinkering on this trigger. How would a general tinker trigger be worded?
