Meep. Millstone, but free to activate, exiles rather than milling, and comes with a free Tormod's Crypt activation too?
[Millstone] Isn't exactly a great magic card, and Tormod's Crypt costs 0 mana. It's already free. :P
Mmm. True. How about we compare this to Curse of the Bloody Tome then? That card seems fair (it gets 3.31 stars. Could be higher, but far from weak.)
Locket of Dreams is better than that curse in 5 ways (Exiles the mill, Tormod's Crypt, comboes with cards that untap artifacts, colorless, you've got greater control (for example, if your oppenent casts Vampiric Tutor, you can knock that card off the top of their library. The Tomes won't do that if your opponent times the spell right.)) Curse of the Bloody Tome happens to be a better card in one way (you can enchant yourself. Some would argue this is a drawback, though. The Locket can't be Shunted back at you, for example.) Is this trade-off acceptable?
Tormod's Crypt isn't really free. It costs you a card and a slot in your deck.
Indeed. I'd much rather run Cremate or Relic of Progenitus than Tormod's Crypt, because a card is much more of a cost than a little mana. This card doesn't cantrip, but it gives you Tormod's Crypt plus Curse of the Bloody Tome costing 1 card rather than 2, which is card efficiency.
