Interesting way to counter removal. Is +2/+0 alright on a blue aura though?
I'm not sure. But I wish it was. I understand the purpose of sticking to the color pie, but I'm not fond of how verboten power boosting in blue and white or toughness boosting in red is. A little on rare occasions should be acceptable, IMO. I'm sure many would disagree.
There's some precedent for it: Tricks of the Trade, Taigam's Strike, Distortion Strike, and sortof Incursion Specialist. So it seems Wizards agree with jmg here.
Heh. All four of the also provide unblocakability. But I'll take whatever precedent I can get.
Auras get somewhat more leeway than instant and sorceries in providing bonuses (cf. also various red auras that give +2/+2).
