A test card for the beasts' mechanic Savagery.

Seems pretty good. It's like a Seal of Fire that can attack or block. (More like a Seal of Essence Scatter I guess.)

I seen to recall hearing that Wizards spent a lot of time trying mechanics including fight in some way or another for Gruul in Gatecrash, but everything they tried was too oppressive. We'll have to see whether savagery works out that way too.

Yeah, this is way too good at common IMO. It can pretty much nullify all opponent's 2-power creatures. That's insane. Potential for card advantage generation is HUGE.

Whoa, this was me? What was I smoking? Um, yes, I completely agree. This would be easily first-pickable as an uncommon, and plenty good as a rare.

Maybe the whole keyword should be dropped as this is the only card with savagery? Or one could try putting it only on 1-toughness creatures at common. That's something I'm experimenting with Oromë’s Ranger (old) which pretty much just has alternative provoke.

... but even with 1-toughness creatures it would still mean they would be similar to Mogg Fanatics which doesn't seem like a good idea in large quantities...
