Didn't fit into the cycle idea, but the spell is a good idea still.

I thought Vitenka was the one with the habit of putting all of his costs backward.

Did you read Maro's article today? Apparently he prefers it this way.

He also wants it down the left side of the frame, right? That wouldn't be so bad, I guess. It makes me very uncomfortable to see the order reversed with the symbols in their current position, though. It just looks ugly and wrong.
I like several of his "revised magic" ideas, like different frames for different card types, greater differentiation between artifacts and enchantments, and Instant being a supertype (though I would call it something else, like Flash, because Instant Creature? Ugh. Sounds like Instant Ramen). I feel like giving each generic mana component its own pip is a bad idea, though, since the mind has difficulty quickly and easily counting groups of things.

Yeah, like the Future-shifted cards. The colored mana would be at the top. I agree about how this just looks wrong. He's never even mentioned some of those ideas.
