Hm. I'd normally rather have Coastal Piracy / Bident of Thassa, because this makes me pay, but I guess this does also untap the creatures.

This is also nice cheap repeatable name-gaining. It'll be interesting to see if this manages to produce the kind of continued interactions that you're hoping for.

Note, though, that the reminder text and ability text disagree on whether the activated ability here targets. I assume it should target.
