"shuffle your previous commander into your library" - What, even if it's under Mind Control by an opponent? Or been bounced to my hand? Or been bounced to my hand then exiled face-down with Moonring Mirror? Or been tucked, shuffled, then the opponent activated Pyxis of Pandemonium 3 times?

It's also a bit sad that you have to target a planeswalker on the battlefield, but the walker in question goes to the command zone. Or at least, it makes it a very situational planeswalker-removal-spell.

I was trying to find a simple way to get the previous commander out of the command zone. If you can find one, I'd be happy to use it. It's not exactly an easy one to template!

Aha, that's better :)

But it undoes Ascend into Immortality or other things that might give you an extra commander. :(
I like this, though, especially since you can steal your opponent's planeswalker. I might like it more if it could steal a legendary creature, too, so that it would be slightly less narrow.
