It's about as black as walls get. It's also decent against (non infinite combo) token decks as a way of balancing things out a tad without being a "DESTROY ALL TOKENS" card.

Looks like it's best against non-token decks. Token decks will aim to kill you in one or two attacks, and this only gains one counter per attack no matter how many creatures were in that attack. Plus token decks can cope with Misguided Rage a lot better than decks without tokens can.
