An attempted doubling effect. Worded that way to avoid dealing with auras, lords, anthems, counters and God knows what else.

I think it works, it's certainly obvious what's supposed to happen, but it's a little odd to have to write in the details of the spell like that.
An alternative might be something like Yew Spirit, "when this attacks or blocks, it gets +X/+X" where X is its power. That way any temporary or permanent boosts get applied twice, eventually. (Although it's a little different because it's small outside combat and instants during combat don't work.)
(I think "~ gets +X/+X where X is its power" works as a static effect too! But would be too confusing to actually print.)
Although it's possible it could be more aggressively costed if it only works with temporary boosts, so maybe we should find a way to make your wording work.
An easy way to simplify the issue would be to have only spells affect it. I'm fairly sure there are no permanent boost coming from spells, but I know there are a few effects on them that are permanent...
