A Viridian Longbow for artifacts. Too good for common? It's going to be tricky to find appropriate connectors for common, and I do want at least 4.
Why would it be markedly better than Viridian Longbow?
Because it's generally harder to remove artifacts than creatures, which will mean the pinging is harder to stop in cases where you need to. But I'll obviously be putting a decent dollop of artifact removal in common, so it may not be an issue.
You'll also want a number of poly-artifacts in set, which you don't seem to have, to give it things to connect to which don't already do better things for the cost of a tap.
EdiT: Oh, I suppos ethere's the equipment.
There are 35 common artifacts, and only max 15 of them will already gave tap effects. I think that's fine. It can work on artifact creatures just fine.
In initial playtesting this turned out good, but the
activation cost to ping hampered it a bit, just as I'd desired. I did get finished off from 3 life by qqzm spending 6 mana to ping,move,ping,move,ping, but that seems reasonable too.
