Hmm, an Instant Cultivate that fetches Forests instead of nonbasic lands. I guess mono-green ramp decks, or decks with duals, would prefer this version.

Yeah, 2G seems obviously right to me. If you want to play it (eg. in my monogreen landfall deck), 2G is a fair price, and if you want mana fixing then being 1G isn't any better.
