Noticeably, this card doesn't have a mechanic like its siblings from the cycle do. Originally had an idea, now rethinking what old mechanic to use for this color combination. looking for something combat based.

Found a mechanic!

Mmm... personally I really like clash, but I understand it wasn't very popular among players as a whole. I guess that's fine if it's not one of the flagship mechanics of the set, just another one of your returning mechanics.

Tricky, tricky Clash. Timmy doesn't like manipulating the top of his library. Spike doesn't like not manipulating the top of his library, and hates the randomness of it. They both should stop whining... it's a good mechanic. Unfortunately, just because it's a good mechanic, doesn't mean people gotta like it.

For what it's worth, I really like clash. And I'm pretty sure there's a lot of other people who like clash. I'm sure we'll see it again. It's like slivers that way. A lot of people are annoyed by them, but the people who like them, really like them. As long as it isn't the main theme of a set, and only pops up once every 4 years or so, it should be fine.
