But it has no activated abilities.

And it's unlikely to have any without equipment or auras.. which makes a bunch of useless text.

Just in case it gains ... facepalm It would gain them via an aura or equipment. It should probably keep it anyway.

Edit: Link responded to himself before I could. I feel like that's cheating.

It's very likely. Consider you have cast a {3}{b}{b} enchantment called Conspiracy and name Sliver. Then you play a bunch of Slivers that grant activated abilities. But you also like this Golem because it's 4/4 for only {3} and it has a cool name. But don't forget you also need Auras or Equipment in order for the Golem to actually work. So you must also include some A&E; make sure to attach them to the Golem and not the other Slivers (the Golem is also a Sliver due to Conspiracy.)

That's a very small corner case. Removing that line of text will simplify the rules text with very little change to the function. I believe Mark Rosewater, like myself, would tell you that's a good thing.

Trust me, billions of casual players around the world giggle with glee when they encounter such cute interactions.

So why are you preventing that interaction?

i'm increasing the amount of interactions

...No, you're not. Why do you think that?

I'm not going to stick my head into this argument. I'm only going to jump in here to mention that, of all the players on the site, the Johnniest one I know is probably Link. If your argument, amuseum, is that "Johnny likes that", than I think you've got a bit of a logical conundrum on your hands. If you wanted to argue "Because Vorthos likes that", I think you'd get more mileage.

Anyhow, I'm stepping out of the way before more semantics get thrown around. I'm pretty sure this is an argument with no right answers.

I would agree that Vorthos would like this a lot more than Johnny. The restrictions you've made here seem entirely flavor-based to me.
