Nice card but the wording seems iffy. How about:
Cards in player's graveyards can't be the targets of spells or abilities.
Yeah I was having trouble wording this correctly. Your suggestion doesn't work as it doesn't stop Unearth, Flashback & similar mechanics. Definately need to work on this one a bit more. Obviously, with the graveyard matters theme in the set, this is the hoser card.
You could just phrase it as "If a card would leave a graveyard, instead it doesn't." That might have some problems, but Carrionette is the worst I can think of so far, and that's not much of a problem.
Your comments are always useful, this reads much more cleanly now. Thanks heaps.
I've been thinking and asking people if there's anything this is broken with. We're not quite sure whether Nefarious Lich would be "can't die" or "die immediately". Spellweaver Volute becomes quite a bit better. Overall though it's just an interesting combo and hoser card, and seems fine.
By my reading, Nefarious Lich would be Die as soon as you take damage, whilst with Spellweaver Volute I think it does indeed become better as it will stay attached to the original instant. Maybe I should bump this to rare???
reverted it to making cards in graveyards untargetable to make it easier to understand.
Aww. Oh well, this is fine too.
reverted it as it just doesn't play as well.
Combined wording of Yixlid Jailer and Ground Seal so that this is clearer for players as to what it is that it does. (whilst still fulfilling its original role).
Hopefully this is finalized now.
