Not a fan of white having this effect (I don't like Kor Cartographer, but I do agree that if white gets it it should get Plains and be slightly worse than green (I consider Wood Elves slightly worse than Farhaven Elf or Ondu Giant).

noted. Was trying to convey the flavour of settlers clearing new land for farming via the mechanics of the card. Any better suggestions for this are welcome.

White does have in its color pie the old "If an opponent controls more lands than you, search...", but that is for higher rarities.
