Whenever I drafted Magic 20XX, this card would drag me into white. I value it as one of the best commons in the set... 3/4 splashable fliers for 5 are great, and if you don't need the flying immediately, you don't have to be as conservative with your cards. Other players didn't seem to agree. At least, that's the impression I'd get after drafting so many of these damn things.

Well, looking at it - it doesn't leap out to me as particularly high on the pick list.

It's cost 5, it only gains flying under circumstances that will never occur by the time I have 5 mana on the table ... so it's just a 3/4 vanilla for 5. Which isn't particularly bad or anything; it's just not screaming "Pick me!" at me.

Obviously, it's destined to be one of those "underrated by most, but those in the know pick it" cards :)

It's true. I built 20XX to be easy to Wisdom, but most people didn't trust me. They drafted Leonin Spader, true, because they figured they could pull that off easily. But a 5cc card? My hand is empty by that point!

Jokes on them I guess, eh?
