Nice card, but I don't think it's mythic. I love the flavor lead-in to the next set.
It definitely needs refinement. I want this to nod towards the secret tech that was employed on the Day of Silence without outright revealing what happened. I’d also like it to be something of a foil to the number of freakish game-breaking 2-drops in Modern. You know, like Tarmogoyf.
Mmmm. Pithing Needle for creatures seems decent.
Reminds me a lot of Phyrexian Revoker. Also I agree that it doesn't feel mythic.
I do very much like "story hint" cards though. This seems a rather better job of that than Eye of Ugin :)
I'm hoping that today’s updates work to make it “more mythic”. First, by sending it back to hand rather than library, it has engine potential. Second, by broadening it's dampening effect, it's a lot more potent.
In the long run, I think it speaks to the story better this way as well.
Usual concerns about "An opponent who isn't an opponent" in multiplayer allowing for a pretty nasty lockdown.
Against a heck of a lot of decks this is a seriously nasty lockdown; but at least it's killable.
And, in the tradition of probably incorrect nit-picking: isn't the creature type "Creature" and it ought to be subtype?
