This is strictly better that Dragon's Claw. I know that's not much of a comparison, but new players love the lucky charms and you shouldn't obsolete them. Cost this at {3}.

Better. Cost this at {3} and make it trigger off of Red and Green spells. Now you've got room to monkey.

This is meant to be a core set replacement for Dragon's Claw and the rest of the cycle as they are so weak.
I am thinking of changing these to combine the Dragon's Claw and Ruby Medallion cycles into one card at which point they would be recosted at {3}.

Like so.

Applause

I thought the point in the Dragon's Claw cycle was to be bad cards designed to appeal to new players that they could eventually realise were bad and take out of their decks as a sign of having grown as players? (Although this sounds sarcastic, I'm actually completely serious.)

Yeah that is the point (to a degree) and these are still not great cards. New players will still learn the same lesson (albeit maybe a bit more slowly) but old players shouldn't resent them as much as the Dragon's Claw cycle.
Besides, the entire cycle is past due for an update.
There are a LOT of better turn 3 plays than one of these.
