Per the rules every Forest has "{t}: Add {g}.", every Island has "{t}: Add {u}." and every Mountain has "{t}: Add {r}."

So, why would anyone use that painful ability?

Legendary is a legit drawback, but it is not a good idea on mana fixing lands.
