Wurp? A Grizzly Bears for is already above the curve, but then you Fling it and get a 7/6 flyer on turn 3?
I dunno, with Walking Corpse Wizards has proved they're not scared to print grizzlies for other colors. As of right now there's no fling effects in the set, but you're right, a red mage could potentially just burn his own critter. I'll consider changing it to another transform trigger or make the front side bigger or something.
That's really not what Walking Corpse was about, though. It was a controversial move, and I believe MaRo has stated it's not meant to be shifting the baseline permanently, in the same way that Lightning Bolt's reprinting didn't mean the baseline was no longer Shock. See also the GDS2 multiple-choice test where MaRo says a 2/2 for is less likely than one for .
1R > 2RR, 2/2 > 4/3, this may change to mythic.
The higher cost should help with the potential abuse, and the double cost should help justify having such a strong card. Now you're paying something like and a card (the burn spell) for a pretty huge bomb.
