Neat. Definitely hard to place. I think I'd rather see it as an instant for {3}{u} if it is uncommon.

Two reasons come to mind why I would rather have it "compete" with Divination than Inspiration.

  • The possible gameplay effect of revealing the cards is multiplied when there's a much greater chance that the opponents have a full turn of their own to react to what you skipped or put into your hand. If it's mainly done just before your turn (on opponent's end step), the potential effect of the exile minigame is greatly reduced.
  • At {3}{u} and instant it would be a very bad version of Glimmer of Genius - and in more ways than one. Not only doesn't it add energy, but the scry effect is more flexible, doesn't remove nor reveal cards from your library - and especially doesn't show what you might have put into your hand.

Also, Opening the Eye is currently in the same set so I have no need for another Inspiration variant.

I think I like this a lot. To the point that I think it's a shame that the less skill testing versions came along first.
