Kind of powerful for a common. A 3/4 isn't something you would normally seen on turn two. I would consider making it a 2/2 or a 1/3.
Yeah, that sounds sensible to me. Otherwise it's a 7-card Glimpse the Unthinkable but more expensive. Whether or not you make that change, it shouldn't be mythic.
Is -1/-1 enough ? I've noticed a lot of creatures that would have been played before this one would be curve creatures and 2/2 or larger.
Maybe the triggers on this card should be reversed ? Especially at Mythic. I can't imagine a player would really have more then just 2 or 3 cards in their graveyard at max by turn 3. Might be more effective to mill a set number of cards first, then have the curve ability mill more depending on how many cards are in the graveyard already.
I think it's fine as is, or a reprint of Angelic Renewal would equally be fine. It's good for there to be a slight range of power level within a set; not every card has to be pushing the edge of the power curve (and in fact they definitely shouldn't all be).
That sounds like a fine idea (apart from the more wide-reaching problems with the curve mechanic).
I agree 3 mana would be very bad. I really like the sac ability on mana stones - Mind Stone is fantastic for that reason. I think either Chris's suggestion of restoring the pain, or the Sky Diamond option of making them ETB tapped, would make them fairer while still very playable.
Removing trample would make it much fairer, yes. Just like Plated Slagwurm before it, the green mage is free to give it trample himself, but she at least needs to use another card to do it.
Well i haven't tested the 3 cards with Curve 5, but as far as the rest (Curve 1-4) it seems easy to know what turn is it the first 4 turns, although i'll admit the 3 card with Curve 5 are probably going to be killed/changed as that tracking the fifth turn can be problematic in many games.
Hmm yeah that would work really well, since they wouldnt have an option to give colorless, they wouldnt be strictly better.
I'm worried about Curve. How easy is it, really, in a given game to know if it's turn N? I know there have been a number of occasions when I've played a complex turn, forgotten if I've used my land-drop, and to work it out had to ask my opponent whether they've missed a land-drop. Often, no-one remembers without serious thought.
Add in non-land mana sources, and I think it could be really tricky to keep track of.
