Does it count if there's a flavour connection only? For instance, split cards are expected to have two different abilities, which are often mechanically unconnected, but fit together in the name. Or Form of the Dragon, the classic top down card, has three abilities with no mechanical connection to each other, but a big flavour connection :)
Another way is cards like Morphling where part of the point is that the creature has a variety of abilities.
I'll submit a card with a flavour connection in due course, but I'm mulling over other ways of making unconnected abilities seem natural too.
I've been catching up with Mark Rosewater's drive to work podcast. In Podcast #6 (Gold), Mark says that it's a mistake to design a card with two abilities that don't have some sort of connection to each other. That's because players assume synergy, and if your card doesn't have synergy, those players are going to create their own synergy out of the card playing it their own way (also, people like to see synergy, so by not providing it, you're alienating your audience.)
He's right, but this maxim can't be right 100% of the time. Design a card with two couplings that do not link up, and give it some intrinsic value (and I suggest staying away from the Silver-Bordered joke cards. That's too simple an answer.) By the by, I consider this an expert challenge... so don't feel frustrated if you're having a hard time making your card work. I can think of a few good attack strategies, but I'm going to keep mum. I'm not one for spoilers.
Eidolon's Hate
For Challenge # 070. Pulling from the design file of Dissension again to help solve Dragon's Mazes problems... the eidolons do a good job of letting any two-color combination shine.
Oh, good call on double overload. In retrospect, that seems like something that should have been done in RtR...
If this didn't say "you control" (which really means "you own"), it would make a nice hoser to the Reveillark/Karmic Guide loop.
Yeah, I assume they must have thought of it and decided it didn't work (I can see there may be problems with Rubblehulk and other creatures with non-obvious P/T or keywords), but I don't see why not.
This is somewhat reminiscent of Schismotivate, but no, I don't think I've seen a blue spell do both -X/-0 and +0/+X on the same card, even though blue does have access to both halves of that. (Well, OK, there's Defensive Stance and all the Morphlingalikes. I mean give the two halves to two different creatures.)
Aww, that's indeed a real pity that it doesn't work with Bloodrush. It should have been templated so that it could. Nice thought.
Ah, sorry, thank you for finding the explanation!
For those confused why it wouldn't work (i.e. me), Overload is an alternate cost, as is "casting without paying mana cost", so 117.9a comes into play.
"117.9a Only one alternative cost can be applied to any one spell as it’s being cast. The controller of the spell announces his or her intentions to pay that cost as described in rule 601.2b."
For Challenge # 070
Combining Azorius, Dimir, Simic and Izzet. Except this doesn't work either because overload can't be used when an enciphered spell is copied, and there's no real reason for the "creature without a +1/+1 counter" when wizards have tried to keep overload all-upside.
Combat Distortion and Blue Guild Alliance, another two that don't really work. I'm sorry, I seem to be fizzling a lot today :(
For Challenge # 070. A poor man's overrun :)
This probably doesn't need to be rare, nor in dragon's maze, but I was surprised to realise that (AFAIK) overload spells can do that but haven't yet.
Is there an existing non-overload version?
Yeah, I felt having to have up

was a little harsh. It's the sort of thing that could be tweaked though.
Oh yes, I was expecting a graveyard pumper for Scavenge :) good job!
Though pumping things in graveyards is more likely to be the domain of black, I would expect.
Ah! "If
was spent to play this" is an interesting take on it. I was trying to think of good ways of combining guilds, but couldn't find anything I actually liked much.
Swarm Renegade
For Challenge # 070
A golgari defector to the gruul clans, pumping cards in hand and the graveyard helps bloodrush and scavenge. Except bloodrush is an ability word that spells out the P/T increase, not a keyword that says "equal to the P/T of this card", so it doesn't work :(
